Hi all,
I am trying to connect to a remote QM on another machine and i am giving QM name , Ip address, and port no correct but i ma getting this error

AMQ4036
Severity
10 : Warning
Message
Access not permitted. You are not authorized to perform this operation.
Explanation
The queue manager's security mechanism has indicated that the userid associated with this request is not authorized to access the object.

Please help me find out how grant permission on that QM so that i can access it.

the security settings depend on what utility you are using, and what actions you like to perform on that queuemanager.

contact your mqseries administration and / or security administration for that. or, if that queuemanager is under your control, check the security manuals or administration guides how to set up security. for some products (e.g. mq explorer) it is clearly written what security needs to be assigned.

And what platform the queue manager is running on will influence how you obtain the security.
