Hi

I recreated my config manager to resolve some pre-existing issues. Now, i can see all the execution groups from the command line (runtime is on zlinux). I can even run successful tests with large message files. But the execution groups don't show up in my broker toolkit.

Any suggestions are appreciated.

You don't say what you've done to reconnect the broker and the configmgr.

You don't say what version you're using.

Sorry. I am using WMB v6.1 and MQ v7.0.
I'm trying to connect to the broker domain from the toolkit. I can connect successfully by creating a new broker domain using the config manager info. Then I connect to the broker.
I can connect successfully, but I don't see any exec groups listed.
However, all the exec groups show up on both brokers when I use the mqsilist command.

Please let me know if any further info is required.

So you deleted your configmgr, and then you created a new one.

At that point, it knew nothing about your existing brokers.

You then connected to it via the Toolkit, and told it to create two new brokers, that coincidentally happened to be using the same qmgr as the existing brokers.

You need to tell the configmgr to delete the new brokers in the Toolkit. Then you need to use the CMP API exerciser to add the existing brokers, using the instructions at http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/wmbhelp/v6r1m0/topic/com.ibm.etools.mft.doc/an25660_.htm

Note, however, that this page is potentially incorrect in labelling this function 'Adopt A Broker'. It might merely be labelled "Add broker to configmgr'.

Thank you mqjeff.

That was exactly what I was looking for. I was able to add the existing brokers to my domain.

Thanks again.
