Get the Sys Admins who manage the platform to look? Use any monitoring/inventory tools that may already be providing that information to a dashboard somewhere?

Check the notes or change document that was filed when MQ was installed?

That's why you make notes when you do each individual install or patch. So you can just look at 1 document.

Or use dashboard software if your site will pay for it.

You can use PCF commands (Java based running under mqm user to avoid security exception ) and get CMD Level, if you know host , mq name and Port nr on which QM running . However , you may get security problems , if your enterprise does not allow tcp connection .

with some scripting you can use a tool like this:

http://www.capitalware.biz/mqps_overview.html

"Anytime MQ Port Scan successfully connects to a queue manager, the information is written to a CSV (Comma-Separated-Value) file. The output will include the queue manager name, MQ version, channel name, hostname or an IP Address and port number"

Regards

Yeah, but with some scripting you could run dspmqver and capture the output through ssh or etc.

no other software needed.
