I've been having problems deploying a flow from an Windows 2000 WMQI 2.1 control center environment to a 2.1 Broker on an AIX box (using Sybase 12.0 as the repository for the broker database). I see nothing in my log panel in the CC and I see nothing happen in the Broker log.
I have setup and resetup all the channels many times and this doesn't seem to resolve the problem (or shed any light either)... Am I doing something REALLY stupid... Help..!! |

Is your broker running? Make sure channels between Config Mgr QMgr and Broker Qmgr are in running state. Do you get any confirmation message on the screen after you submit deploy request. _________________ Kiran

When I deploy, I get the confirmation message, but nothing shows up in the Control Center log. No messages in the event viewer either. we think it may be a problem with authentication (i.e. the NT uid is not an UNIX id) do you think this may be a reason..?
Thanks |

yes, you should have the same id defined on UNIx box also. _________________ Kiran

We ensured that the same id is being used on NT and UNIX, but this solved nothing.. We are very confused as there is no error message that we can use to help find the error. Any more ideas....?? |

Hi,
you'd better check out the max message length of channels and queues between broker and control center. We had similar behavior, when some of the wmqi messages where too big for the queues/channels.

Just a possibility - Have you checked that the MCA User ID of the SYSTEM.BKR.CONFIG channel is blank?
Does mqsilist/wmqilist <brokername> -e <execgrp> show that the deploy was successful, even though you can't see any messages?
