My message flows are running in Broker v 6.1 and now I need to connect to an oracle Database(11 g) runs in different AIX LPAR. Do I need a oracle client to be installed in my broker LPAR to have a successful odbc with oracle database.

nope, broker is shipped along with Oracle wire protocol driver
