Hello,
I am by no means an expert, need some help with a problem I am having:
1) MQ manager 1 works fine and uses port 1414 - this was created manually.
2) MQ manager 2 runs was created manually (never put a message on it)
I want to access MQ Man 1 & 2 using MQ Websphere Explorer, I can do this for MQ Man 1, and it works fine, however I cannot access MQ Man 2 as I get a message telling me that the queue manager is unknown server connection is already used by another resource.
Not sure if this is a port problem? I am using port 1414 for both queue managers and the same IP??
Thinking of specifying a listener port other that 1414 for MQ Man 2, is my thinking along the right lines?? |

The same IP is fine, each queue manager must listen on a unique port.

Solid plan. The Intercommunication manual explains why, with diagrams. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

Be warned, the link at the top of the page is for V6.0, so look for the Info Centre for V7.0 if that's what you are running.
Apologies for stepping on your toes fj, but I've been burned by recommending the link at the top before. I must remember to highlight this to the 'boss'... _________________ It's puzzling, I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like this before...and it's hard to soar like an eagle when you're surrounded by turkeys. |

That's why I specified the library link as well. The Library link allows you to choose for which version you want to look at the documentation. I use it also to jump to the WMB documentation page. (one of the links on the left of the Library page).
Have fun _________________ MQ & Broker admin |
