I'm on the lookout for source code to run on zOS/OS390 which will duplicate a message.
I've used the mirrorq utility for NT kindly made available on the software repository by Charley Lindsey of IBM, so it's clear there is a hankering for such a utility and I'm sure that the demand is not restricted to NT. I've trawled the bulletin board but didn't find any mention of the duplicator for zOS/OS390. If it is there I'd be grateful if you could put it out to me.
I am not a mainframer, but am making this request on behalf of some folk who are. They are seeking a queue manager exit solution for multiple queues.
Presumably, to support multiple queues, installing the code as a queue manager exit will allow duplication to take place for all queue puts under that q mgr without multiple instantiations of the duplicator.
Many thanks in advance

Hi,
I may be missing something here, but can't mirrorq (once compiled and linked in the OS/390 world) be used there? It uses triggering, which is supported, and the JCL would be different of course, but in principle isn't this another example of the wonderful portability of MQ?

Hi,
You didn't stop at my web site.
I wrote C program called MMX (It is a message multiplexer). MMX will get a message from a queue and output it to one or more queues (up to 99). Context information is maintained across the message put(s).
I have personnally compiled & run it on the following platforms: OS/390, WinNT/2000, Linux (RH7.1), Solaris (both Intel & SPARC) & AIX.
You can find it at (including source code):

Roger
I have seen your company name crop up a couple of times. Now it's about time I checked it out, not least to take up your generous offer.
Merci
