WebSphereMQ has two API libraries: Server side, and client side. Both support the same exact calls, but offer slightly different functionality, what are the functionality differences?

It's really the same API - the MQ Client just transports the requests to the MQ server where the MQI code actually executes.

In some situations you may need the application to be on the same platform as the queue manager, for example if you want to share a unit of work with a database.
