AFAIK you cannot do that in JMS (MQV6.0). You can however use the RFH2 header to store properties...  _________________ MQ & Broker admin |

This field is read only ( the manual) and allows you to get the information from non JMS applications. For JMS applications this is a message property in the RFH2 (AFAIK). Have fun  _________________ MQ & Broker admin |

Okay, listen - this is the deal:
I am connecting to a legacy aplpication no one will ever ever change. This is a given.
I HAVE to set the ApplType field. Set, not read. And I have to do it using JMS, not MQ Native (which does allow you to set this field).
Any creative solutions which do not envolve changing the target app, or using native MQ?
