Hi
We currently have a JMS Provider entry setup with a single address given in the External provider URL field. the external target now has a failove r box that we would like to include in this field as an alternative target but I'm struggling to find details on how to do this. Is it possible to specify 2 addresses in this field and what would be the format of the config entry.
thanks |

Define failover box. Are we talking about an HA hardware cluster? _________________ MQ & Broker admin |

Hi
Its just an alternative 'stand alone' host acting as a cold standby that we would like to target if the first named host is unavailable. |

If you can have it take over the IP of the standard box and have everything on it use the same port as the standard you should be fine. _________________ MQ & Broker admin |

many thanks for response but I must hold my hand up and admit mild confusion. The remote boxes will not be on a shared address although we will be tragetting the same port so when the first connect fails due to host unavailability it would need to adress the ip address of the second host. I was wondering if something as simple as 2 options can be specified in this entry. Please bare with me I'm sure I'll get there in the end |

You need a network virtual IP that you can then switch to the real one. _________________ MQ & Broker admin |
