We have customers running MQ6 in a whole root non-global zone.
# pkginfo |grep mq
application mqm WebSphere MQ for Sun Solaris
application mqm-06-00-02-02 WebSphere MQ for Sun Solaris - U809913
Despite what IBM says, I just installed MQ Server 7.0.1 in a sparse root non-global zone on Solaris 10 10/09.
# pkginfo|grep mq
application mqm WebSphere MQ for Sun Solaris
application mqm-07-00-01-00 WebSphere MQ for Sun Solaris - U823772
What puzzles me is that the MQ6 install (I did not install it) has an entry in the SMF:
# svcs -a|grep MQ
online Sep_22 svc:/application/mqm/WebSphereMQ:mq_server
But I did not get anything installed into SMF when I installed 7.0.1.
I also tried installing it into the global zone but no luck with SMF.
IBM docs say nothing about Solaris 10 svcadm management of MQ.
