OK, maybe I'm not getting this...
If you use your DMZ queue manager as a server for their, i.e. Third Party, ActiveMQ JMS connection, the messages outbound to them can be stored in a QL; their messages to you can go via QA/QR, or whatever routing mechanism you wish to use, also in your DMZ queue manager. If the connection is down, outbound messages are safe until the connection is restored, and it's their responsibility to ensure inbound messages for you are queued in some manner at their end - not your responsibility.
...likelihood is that I'm really not getting it as the ratio of sane to combined blonde/senior moments is rapidly decreasing these days _________________ It's puzzling, I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like this before...and it's hard to soar like an eagle when you're surrounded by turkeys. |

Got to go to meetings now but I will try and give a better explanation of the scenario tomorrow. Might not have made myself clear enough.
Thanks for the input so far. _________________ The answer to the question is 42 |

The idea is that activeMQ or something else will then give you a messaging platform to store messages while the connection is down. Yea, it's a tough one. It will be a nice achievement to get going though.
Any other ideas/recommendations/links to read out there? |
And MQ does not?
If they are running MQ fine you can create a qmgr 2 qmgr connection.
If they are not running MQ why should you have to do something to store messages at their end if you are not up. If they can't connect the messages will stay on the queues in the gateway... now it will be your task to secure those messages so that nobody else can access them...
Have fun _________________ MQ & Broker admin |
