I'm running saveqmgr against a z/OS Qmgr, V7. Saveqmgr is the 24Jun09 release. The APPLTYPE for some processes is coming out as '2', as opposed to a string. The other APPLTYPEs seem to be ok, I assume this is a bug. Does anyone know what a '2' maps to? Thanks.

Hrm.
An APPL_TYPE value of 2 is either MQAT_MVS, MQAT_OS390, or MQAT_ZOS. They're all equivalent, and should map to an MQSC value of "MVS". However, there doesn't appear to be code in MS03 to specifically handle this value...
It is entirely legal and OK for an APPLTYPE to be an integer. So the output of APPLTYPE(2) is valid.
I'll adjust the code for the next release. If you want an early build, please contact me by email. |
