I have got MQ cluster V6.0 with 4 z/OS repositories. Other queue managers in MQ cluster are on Windows. I have got problem. I cannot update all MQ repositories on z/OS. Here are the examples:
1) I can add Windows QM to cluster on the 3 repositories but on the 4th this is not possible
2) I can remove Windows QM on cluster on the 3 repositories but on the 4th I cannot remove it regulary with SUPEND command on Windows and with RESET CLUSTER ....ACTION(FORCEREMOVE) on z/OS

In both examples the same repository cannot be updated. On the Windows QM is only te partial repositiory. What to do here? Thanks for help!

I strongly suggest you read what is HERE and search on this site, in this section, for much discussion in regard to having more than two Full Repositories.

You have a number of problems - mostly with your design and procedures!

Aside from having 4 repositories in a cluster (which is a seriously bad idea) you shouldn't be "adding" queue managers to more than one repository.

You should never use a reset cluster command on a properly running cluster, and should never need to.

Rework your topology to have 2 full repositories in the cluster.
Ensure that both FRs have proper communication
Ensure that all the PRs are proper communication
etc
etc

And make sure your maintenance level is up to date.

How did you discover this? Other than this symptom, what isn't working? Are applications failing, for example?

I strongly recommend that you (re)read the WMQ Queue Manager Clusters manual. It contains such topics as adding a qmgr to a cluster, adding an object to a cluster, removing an object from a cluster, removing a qmgr from a cluster, and others.

Much of the damage to clusters comes from not following the documented procedures for their maintenance and operation.

I solved problem restarting z/OS Websphere MQ subsystems. After restart the repository was updated and looks fine. I intend very soon to reduce number of z/OS repositories from 4 to 2.

You have indulgent system programmers.

This happy state will probably not survive the first change in the cluster (like a PR defining a new queue).

This is very good news. I trust as part of this you plan to tighten up your procedures for manageing the cluster (such as following the documented procedures and not issuing reset cluster commands with wild abandon).

I, too, suspect that you have temporarily masked the symptom.
