Hi All,

Need some help setting up a cluster topic.

My current setup on a two node cluster is;
1. DEFINE TOPIC(APPLES) TOPICSTR('Price/Apples') CLUSTER(DEMO) PUBSCOPE(ALL) SUBSCOPE(ALL) # Defined on node2#
2. From MQ Explorer, Test Subscription on both node1 and node2 to 'Price/Apples'
3. From MQ Explorer, Test Publication (from node2) to 'Price/Apples'

Result - Test Sub on node2 receives publication, but publication to node1 ends up on DLQ with 'MQRC_PROPERTY_NOT_AVAILABLE' for Destination queue 'SYSTEM.INTER.QMGR.PUBS'

4. To test that a Subcriber on node1 is capable of receiving a publication published on node2, I 'unsubscribed' the node1 subscriber, then did another publish to 'Price/Apples' on node2.

Result - Test Subscriber on node1 receives publication.

Question: So how do I set this up so that both subscribers get the publication?

FIA

Ooops..

Point 4 should say;

4. To test that a Subcriber on node1 is capable of receiving a publication published on node2, I 'unsubscribed' the "node2" subscriber, then did another publish to 'Price/Apples' on node2.

All sorted now ... I had 'Non-persistent message delivery' set to 'As parent' which inherited the 'To all available subscribers' value from the base topic. So only available subs on the local QMGR picked up the publications.

Having over-ridden this value at my topic to 'To all subscribers', both local and remote subs get the publication

Doh!
