Hey everybody

I just discovered a problem with my recent Message Broker installation. Since I'm running the Brokers on HP-UX I can't use the Toolkit to set up the standard configuration. So I tried to rebuild the standard configuration by myself.

When I was finished with that I tried to deploy a simple message flow app to that broker but that failed and I noticed that the broker wasn't running... Issuing the mqsistart command does not start the broker but I don't get an error message. I already configured the logs the way the documentation says it but nothing gets written to it oO.

What I have figured out is that the mqsistart command returns an exit code of "8". Maybe does anyone of you know to which that code is related...

Another question is: when does message broker write into the log? I have specified "user.*" in the config file so my understanding is that MB should write anything into the log.

I hope you can help me with this one

Thank you and best regards

Hi,

Did you source our command environment with right mqsi and database profile? Do your service user belong to right groups(mqm, mqbrkrs...)?
