Hi,

In a mapping node, I need to save part of the logical message tree as a subtree in LocalEnvironment.Variables for later use.

So I configured the node to LocalEnvironment in mapping mode. But there is no LocalEnvironment when I open the mapping editor.

Why is it so? is LocalEnvironment not supposed to be used in a mapping node?

Appreciate any insight into this.

Mapping node is designed for mapping one form of data to another. Mapping mode in Mapping node properties doesn't really provide you the option of accessing the Local Environment.

Even after mapping node, you will be able to set some of the input properties to your Local Environment variables with the help of Compute node, If you really need it.

Actually the mapping node can map the LocalEnvironment, but this feature is not available in older versions of WMB. What version are you using?

I'm not sure if it's correct. Could you set it to "LocalEnvironment And Message" not "LocalEnvironment" and have a try

By default the LocalEnvironment, MQMD ... will not be displayed in the mapping editer. You need to right click on source/target message and select Add or Remove Headers and Folders to add LocalEnvironment, MQMD ...

Refer to this
