Hello,
i'm working on a big project to migrate a lot of Queues Manager from 5.3.05 to Version 6 (6.0.2.0).
So i'm thinking if it is realist to do that because MQSeries Version 7 is available since a year. So perhaps it is preferable to migrate to version 7 immediately.
Could you tell me when is the end date for IBM Mainenance for MQSeries Version 6.xxxxx or where I can find it
Thanks a lot...

Look up your version and platform. AFAIK no end of support date has been announced for v6 on any platform, and the date tends to be 12-24 months after an announcement.
(I am not now nor have I ever worked for IBM and this should not be taken as policy. If they annouce it's going out of support next week it's not my fault).
Clearly if it's a big exercise one has to ask why not go to v7 and have done? It'll postpone a similarlly big exercise in the future.... _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

MQ v6 has no EoS date yet.
As to whether to migrate to V7, I think it depends on whether you would benefit from the new functions. If you use a lot of JMS for example. |

Or if you have a lot of upgrades to do, and by the time they are finished it is likely that V6.0 will be EoS... _________________ It's puzzling, I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like this before...and it's hard to soar like an eagle when you're surrounded by turkeys. |
