Hi,
are there any (commercial) frameworks avaiable for the wmb? On my wishlist would be standard errorhandling, logging, ...
Is there a supplier for ready to use components?
Thanks for your replies. |

<blatant commercial plug>
Besides my own employer and our offering I'm not aware of any pre-packaged set of tools and utilities for error handling, logging, metadata, and other utilities for WMB. Thus not saying that there aren't any.

I know there's at least one "framework" for WMB which was developed by some IBM services folks in Germany. My understanding of that is that it's more of a application framework and as such provides logging, retry etc but also to at least some extent dictates how you are to build solutions. They presented on T&M in Barcelona last year but I can't seem to find any names. _________________ /mårten.

Thanks for your reply. I saw the session in barcelona
Session Number: TMM19
WebSphere Message Broker Best Practice
How to develop Message Flows with a reusable Framework for Errorhandling, Logging and Routing
But they also mentioned that its for sale at the moment, ... so I wonder if there's more than that. |

I recently worked with IBM's EPP framework geared for the financial market. It's... lets say a bit "different" from regular MB development in that it's a stateful event-driven framework with included web GUI, alerts, logging, event correlationing etc.
It's developed by the same IBM'ers in Ireland responsible for the FIN SWIFT MessageSet.
It was called PMP before someone decided it was time for a name change, so try searching for both names if you're interested. _________________ IBM Certified Solution Developer - WebSphere Message Broker V6.1
