Would I be able to run most of the control command under a user account that does not belong to the mqm group?. For example the amqmdain control command works on mq root process. This means that I can use this control command to perform administrative task. How about other control command?.

No. The point of the mqm group is to segrigate administrative functions from normal users.

I'm surprised that works for a user that doesn't have (either directly or inherited) mqm membership. Another victory for the Windows security model.
The obvious question is what happens when you try to run other control commands as a non-mqm user? _________________ Honesty is the best policy.
