Hello All
I'm currently building an HA environment with 2 brokers running in an Active/Active MCSC configuration. I have already built the two brokers and failover between the nodes are successful.
While creating the Config Manager(which is not part of the MCSC), I noticed that my network guy has unfortunately allocated one of the broker QM's Virtual IP(VIP) on the wrong LAN which means that the one broker queue manager is not visible to the Config Manager's Queue Manager.
How do I rectify this?
Is it as simple as allocating an Unused IP(on the correct LAN) and changing the parameter on the VIP cluster resource to the correct IP, or do I need to change the listener setting on the queue manager itself?
Thanks in advance!!!
Regards

This is purely an MSCS question that a Windows Amin can answer. Unless you told your QM's listener to bind to the VIP and only accept connections sent via the VIP. This is a good thing. If you did do that, then if the VIP changes in MSCS you also change it in your listener's properties and restart it.
You may be dissappointed in the performance you see when 2 Brokers try and share the same Windows server. One Broker doing twice the work will often perform better than 2 Brokers fighting for the same memory and CPUs.
Back when we had an Active/Active Broker set up on MSCS, the first step after a failover was to gracefully offline the failed over QM to restore the best performance possible given the situation. Obviously this assumed both Brokers were twins of each other with the same flows deployed. _________________ Peter Potkay

Thanks Peter!
I'll change the VIP and set the listener properties of the QM and see if I can make a connection
