Hi , we have a Websphere MQ server running uner Winwows 2000 server Service pack 4, Websphere is version 6.0, it was working fine until the yesterday, when I open the Websphere explorer, the Que manager shows that it is stoped, when I try to start it, it gives me the following error:
Initialization of resource 'amqmsrvn' failed, rc=0x8000401a
The server process could not be started because the configured identity is incorrect. Check the username and password.
exitvalue = -4
I have checked the account in the DCOM properties of IBM Wbsphere and the account is there, with "allowed access", I have tried resetting the password , but I keep getting the same error. could someone help me with this?

So what happened to the box yesterday? What was changed (not in a WMQ way)? _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

Hi, for some reason the service account was locked, this seems to happen frequently, do you know why?
Thanks again for your help. |

Somebody trying to log in as that account and exceeding three tries? _________________ It's puzzling, I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like this before...and it's hard to soar like an eagle when you're surrounded by turkeys. |

Windows is useless?
Your box is not properly secured?
There's a badly written / out of date script someplace?
You may get better suggestions posting on a Windows forum. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

The Windows event logs usually reveal what's been going on.
Make sure the account id has a non-expiring password. |
