We needed to have the Environment variables passed after our flow went through a Collector node. The Collector node does not pass the LocalEnvironment and the Environment variables. I have put up a req in WMB land for now. I know there are a couple of work arounds for this. BUT.....the one I am trying is using a JAVA Compute node to build the tree like it was coming out of the collector node goin into the WTX node. I have to look at the developers code this AM when he gets in but he indicated he is catching strange abends out of the WTX node. As a pre-emptive I am just posting this question. Is anyone out there in Q_Land ding this. Have you got it working. This may not be a workable solution and I do not want to spend tooo much time on it if that be the case.

My idea may look trivial and may be it is one of your work arounds.

Idea is to introduce another input terminal to collector node to which you can pass all the environment variables as a message payload.

Please correct me if my understanding of the requirement is wrong.

Thanks,
Subha

Ahhh, yes, you are right on the mark. Actually, because the WTX node is 'blind' to the Broker environment we are passing in some Environment information for it's processing. Passing the stuff out was a little tooooo messy. So, we dumped the Colector node, nice node but not functional in this instance, and we use a JAVA compute node to build the Collection tree. I had another post about this. We were having issues with an exception out of AsBitStream. Well. The developer is doing this in JAVA, I know JAVA enough, but am a ESQL, COBOL, C type of guy. Guess I am starting my eHarmony posting.

If this would have been ESQL I would have seen what the problem was. He was creating OutputRoot.BLOB.BLOB in the collection. He should have been creating OutputRoot.BLOB(Domain).BLOB. This corrected the problem and the WTX node is now getting it's collection from the Compute Node and passing the Environment tree(s). Everyone is happy. Including me. We are using WTX all over the place for our X12/HIPPA and this little bit of technology was important as we need to do this all over the place. I have a REQ into WMB development land. We cross our fingers. I would rather use the collector node. That way if future changes come through we will be in alignment with just recompiling the bar.

Thanks

I told you it looked like a message tree that wasn't associated with a Parser.

New name I see, What a camelion!! The feds chasing you.

Yes, there were a few comments, from our buddies in the lab and yours, about domain association. If it would have been ESQL I would have seen it right away. But...the good thing is the bain, if your lucky, builds on situations. This will not happen the next time!! This is the idiot syndrone, you have to realize your in trouble to avoid it. And....."Experience is something you don't get until after you need it!!!"

You haelp is always appreciated. Merry Christmas.
