I've just upgraded my WMB 6.1 toolkit to 6.1.0.3. The BAR file editor has changed and I can no longer find where to configure UDPs or Properties promoted to top-level flows.
On the BAR file editor "Manage" tab, you can select a flow and then the Properties pane shows a Configure tab where you can set configurable properties such as "Additional Instances", "Commit Count", etc. However, my UDPs and promoted properties (e.g. datasource name) are not available to set.
Can anyone tell me how I can set these properties in the bar file in 6.1.0.3?
Or could this really be a defect? |

I have been told that this is a regression problem in 6.1.0.3 and an iFix for the issue will be released on Dec 19. |

I have MB 6.1.0.3 on my machine and I just developed a sample flow with UDPs and promoted properties after seeing your post. I wasn't able to reproduce the problem you've reported.
When you open the BAR file from the toolkit, there should be a 'configure' tab right next to the 'manage' tab. When I opened the configure tab, I expanded the MyFlow.cmf (where MyFlow is the name of my message flow) under which I saw MyFlow. I clicked on MyFlow and in the right hand pane I saw the UDPs and promoted properties which are modifiable. Just as a sanity check I changed the preset values in the rightside pane and redeployed the BAR file and tested and everything works.
If this is what you were unable to accomplish, then I guess I didnot understand the crux of your problem. _________________ LIFE is a series of complex calculations, somewhere multiplied by ZERO. |
