I am plannign to stop only the HTTP Listener in Message Broker 6.1.0.2 without stopping the Broker?

Message Broker v6.1.0.2
AIX 5.3

I need to have this to monitor the broker runtime.

I need to test using test client to see what happens if i stop http listener once and https listener once and both listeners.

Any help appreciated.

You cannot stop the biphttplistener. If try to kill the process, the bipbroker process will start another one.

I don't see why this should need you to stop the listener. The process will automatically start - always

we would like to see and throw an alert if http listener stops and https listener stops and both stops as well! Is tehre a way to test this?

Should the listener crash, then there will be details in the system error log (or event viewer on windows).

If you wish alerts and notifications send, you might want to use one of the Tivoli Suite of products (like ITCAM).
