I'm very rusty on v2.1, but I thought Environment and localEnvironment were added in a later release. If so, that would explain why they are reported as NULL in v2.1. User trace might have revealed that sooner, if only you had been able to get it working.
I suggest that you stop using Environment, and start putting the diagnostics into OutputRoot.XML. That way, you will be sure that v2.1 supports it, and you might even see sensible output from the Trace node.
p.s. I cannot believe that I just advised somebody to use the deprecated XML domain. |

Yes, but then we're close to the dark, primordial waters of v2.1 where the monsters live. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

Thanks to everyone for your help.

Environment and LocalEnvironment were both available in 2.1 CSD3 at least. |
