this means that the OS has not found the user id, and wmq has substituted UNKNOWN

the problem is in the OS authentication mechanism

Since you are running on the same OS instance there is no need to set up a CLCHLTAB.

You can try 'setmqaut' command giving proper authorities for the user to the QM objects that you are trying to connect.

Create a test queue and give the authority to the app user and try putting a message

Do not include the user in the 'mqm' group.

since you are using Unix (Solaris) give the authority to the GROUP and not the User. Giving the authority to the user just assigns it to that user's primary group which might not be the desired result....
