Hi !

Could you please tell me,

1. What is the main use of RFH header in MQ message?
2. What is the difference between RFH, RFH2?
3. Can I have custom RFH2 header what could be the maximum size?

Many Thanks,
Ruban

read using java manual and concentrate on the JMS section.
Pay special attention to JMS / MQ base mapping and on JMS message properties

Thank you for your reply.

I will have look at the JMS. I would like to add RFH in C++. Will it be the same as Java? I assume it could be diffrent.

Take a look at the WMQ Application Programming Reference manual. You will find the WMQ structures, like MQMD, RFH, documented there.

These structures are internally consistent, and not language-dependent.

Your use of them (how you construct them) will vary depending on the source programming language - Java base classes, JMS, C++. As pointed out in other posts, there are language-specific manuals.

You can download for free all the manuals from www.ibm.com/mqseries. Click 'Library'.

Ruban

Look up there is an XMS support pack for C++. This will allow you access to MQ with a JMS like API.

Enjoy
