Environment : Sun Solaris 5.10
I run a QM and a program that connects to the QM. The program calls MQCONN, result ok and the post a FETCH. Calls to MQ are in a separate thread. I stop the QM and this is detected by the FETCH, error code 2059 : ok. I start the QM and the program tries to connect again to the QM : error 2195 (unexpected error occured)
If the program restarts (this is not what I want), the MQCONN will be OK. I suspect that an information is stored in one of shared memory created by the QM.

It's not clear from you post whether the MQCONN is done on the same thread that is actually using the hconn that results from the MQCONN. If you aren't doing that (i.e. connect on thread 1, use hconn on thread 2), then I can see that you could have problems.

Hello,

I agree it's not clear, but all the calls to MQ are performed from the same thread.
More info :
- when I restart the QM via a procedure, sometimes I can see this message : IPCS not cleaned by amqiclen after 40 sec. Cleaning IPCS with iprcm.

- sometimes this message appear :
The QM cannot be restarted or deleted because processes that were previously connected are still running. Process 16440 is still running
16440 is my client process. But these messages do not appear each time.[/i]
