Hi,
I have a JMS reader (using receive call) that tries to read a badly formed message, using transacted mode, since the message is not of correct format the message is rolled back to the queue manager. I tried setting up BOTHRESH AND BOQNAME in the queue manager and tried running the reader with the same bad message (only data of the message is bad). Don't see the message moving to the queue defined in BOQNAME (even after it exceeded the limit mentioned in BOTHRESH). Will this set-up work only if the message header is bad or something else. Tried it with onMessage call as well. Did not work either. Let me know under what circumstance the Queue manager will automatically move the message to the BOQNAME.
I am not using any App server here. Client and QM are in MQ6.0
Thanks |

I know that this is NOT handled for you with base WMQ and I believe this is also true when NOT running with an App Server. I know that WebSphere Application Server will honor the backout values. |

Hi,
So what are the other way for the QM to automatically move the message to a backout queue for a normal JMS client?
We cannot modify the code to handle the message based on redelivery count and move them to a backout queue + cannot enable trigger for each message on the queue manager.
Thanks |

Have you checked the permissions? Does the user/group have permissions to put + inq for the BO Queue? Does he have permissions to put + inq to the DLQ? _________________ MQ & Broker admin |
