Hi. I am looking at using a workstation to remotely administrate two servers running MQ Series v5.2.

I tried the 'Console' --> 'Add Snapin' --> 'Add', but I am given the choices of 'IBM MQ Series' and 'IBM MQ Series Services'.

If I do the Services, I can see the remote system channels & queue manager, but cannot see their queues or processes. Is there a way to see/view the queues and processes remotely as well?

Hi,
this can be done through Web Administration which is an optional MQ installation component. So if you have installed it with the MQ, then find an icon 'Web Administration' in MQ Services snap-in. you can start the web server by right clicking the icon and selecting 'start' option. once you do this you can access the MQ objects remotely via browser using

You should use the MQ Series snap-in, right-click on "Queue Managers" and select "Show queue manager...". In the dialog box, give the name and location of the remote queue manager that you want to administrate.

For more detailed information, there is a chapter on remote administration in the system administration manual.

If you don't have qmgr on workstation then you need some remote admin that can work with MQ Client like :
http://www-3.ibm.com/software/ts/mqseries/txppacs/mo71.html
or look at MQJExplorer :
