When using the XML message interface, is it possible to set the Correlation ID to a desired value instead of having it auto-generated in Workflow?

Rich:
If I am not mistaken there are 2 correlation ids. The MQ Series Correlation ID in the MQMD, and the MQWF correlation ID.
I've not done this, but I believe you should have control over the MQSeries correlation ID, but will not have control over the MQWF ActImplCorrelID,
Hope this helps _________________ John McDonald

To my knowledge I do not believe you have the option to set the corl id on UPES calls either. I have gotten around it by putting a field containing the corl id in the data container and sending the XML out to a queue that is read by a java app. That java app does nothing but pull the message off the UPES queue and place it on another queue using the corl id from the data container. This works great, however, we are now starting to see some performance issues since a read with corl id is a more expensive read and we are pushing high volumes through the queue.
Good luck..
