Hi,
We are in the process of upgrading MQ from 5.3 CSD 13 to MQ 6.0.2.3 on a Solaris box. The server also has the MQ Workflow installed on it .
I have a couple of queries regarding the updgrade:
1) Do we have to uninstall the packages gsk7bas and gsk7bas64...?
2)Is there any specific precaution or steps to be taken for the MQ upgrade on the Solaris Server because we have an MQ dependent application ( MQ Workflow ) running on the system .. ?
I am taking a backup of all the MQ data (all the MQ directories and taking a backup using MS03) .Backup of all the FDL files( MQ workflow) has also been taken. Please let me know if anything more needs to be done or if I am missing out on anything.
Thanks,

no issues, as MQ work flow is compatible with MQ V6.
you can even verify at Infocenter too

Good idea. as i didnt see anything more you have to be taken
do you have any customized scripts using MQ, if so please test those too
after MQ installation.
Do you have a roll back document?
Do you have a MQ Verification document? _________________ Regards

Will the upgrade be impacted in any way if I do not uninstall these packages prior to the migration...? |
