Hi

WMB V 6.0 , Windows platform.

Trying to use sendmail pluginNode i am trying example given in the pdf,but getting an error - Relay access denied - Error code - 554

Which user ID/ password Broker uses for getting authentification to the smtp server ?
Does it use the broker's default id password ?
Is there a way a different ID password can be configured ?

The userid is the user id you put in the properties for the send mail node i.e "name of the from person". This i believe will be authenticated and checked by the server listed in the parameter SMTP Server and that no password is required, you would only get an eror code back if it doesn't send it.

the relay message i think is because your email server is not local to the broker - you need to verify this. You normally get this message when the Server requests an authorisation and you would normally have a check box in your email client to say authenticate.
You may also want to check out the authentication settings required on the account your using on the server.


I could be wrong though but we have it working here OK but our SMTP Server IS local.
