In the Information center there is a part describing how to use the new SAP adapter nodes when upgrading from MQseries link for R/3.
My problem is that i can not select the ALE pass-through IDoc option, there is only one that is just called ALE, which generates the messageset for a specific IDoc type.
Anybody out there that has been playing around with this option?
What the Information center is saying about the pass-through feature:
In this mode, the bit stream for the IDoc is provided without any form of parsing. The bit stream can then be used directly in a message flow, and parsed by other parsers, or sent unchanged over transports.
Use the Adapter Connection wizard to select passthrough support: on the Configure settings for adapter pane, select ALE pass-through IDoc as the interface type.
A business object is created that contains one field, which is the bit stream of the IDoc. You can transform this business object in a Compute node to an MQSeries link for R/3 format message, as shown in the following example.

Previous to selecting the adapter interface, which adapter style have you selected ( Is it Inbound or Outbound). I have seen this happening, the remedy to this is go back one screen and try to redo the step....

It should be available both inbound and outbound...., maybe a feature they forgot to put in.
btw any success with using the ALE interface for idocs?, think we might end up re-coding the current interfaces that are using MQ Link for R/3
