Hi folks!
I'm almost sure this isn't the right forum, but I don't know whom or where to ask. I think you might know the answer, though.
I have various MQSeries Queues which I access via Oracle's PGM8 package.
Often, these queues will spit out an error 2042, which means the object is already in use (a script terminated not properly). When the scripts fail, there is no way to close the queue properly, because the queue handle is gone by then.
The admin (read: my contact person) of the MQSeries Queues I have access to hasn't got permission to kill those blocking processes. He sais I can do it remotely as I established the connections, but I don't know how.
So...is there anyway to kill the opened "session" remotely from my client database (Oracle 9i) via PGM8? |

I suppose you are accessing MQ via a client connection. If you need the connection killed, provide the MQ admin with the connection information. Close all your PGM8 access to MQ and ask the MQ Admin to force close your channel. If the channel is not reserved for your use exclusively request a new channel be defined for your exclusive use. After the MQAdmin has started your channel again you can restart working with your PGM8 package.
