Is Broker database needed in run time of message broker compoent if we are not using any pub-sub.
I know its using broker db while doing deployments and starting/stopping of Broker and using commands like mqslist Brok1 -e executionlist..

Any idea on it..sorry if alreday have post on it.

Is ok, if Broker db accessing from a different server, how its will affect performance on run time.

A better question is why would you want to run a broker without a database? What's the requirement here?

AFAIK (and I'll stand correction) the broker uses it to hold state information at various points in it's processing as well as the points you mention.

Broker just accesses a database via ODBC, so it's as able to client onto a database on a different server as any other application. It's also subject to the same drop in performance you get for a client link. No better, no worse.

Hi Vitor,
Thanks for the reply.
I noted that one of the UAT,old box.Broker database is corrupted,so I cannot run any commands. But we seen that broker processes/compoents are running fine.In IBM docs, its not clearly mention what all cases at runtime it uses db.
