The Problem is, that the QMGR PR2 is not actualisated by the FPs. All know ClusQueues works fine, but new Clussqueues where not communicated to the Cluster. At least i can sobmitt no changes from this QMGR. the commands work with no errors but nothing will be changed.

It sounds a lot like one or more of the cluster channels to the FRs is not running. Are you absolutely certain all the cluster members have running manually defined cluster senders to an FR?

It might also be worth checking that the repository processes on the FRs (amqsrppa?? Anyone?) is running normally. Something is inhibiting the cluster update process.

Hello Vitor,

Normaly we create the channel definition for the Partners and they deploy it on the runmqsc. Some of our partners have no expirience with MQ and make changes on the definition without ask us about
thats why we have many many errors in our cluster and thats why im so frustrated.
In this moment we have migrated our repository´s to new hardware and now we have daily trouble with the many applications and supporters of the up to 60 queuemanagers in our bilateral testing clusters. our custumers wont to pay for an administration of their qmgrs and so they make it themsalve. without any knowlegde of the risks...
Im not a manager, im the chided administrator...
it was not my wish and i fight every day for more control about the custumers.

sorry, tomorrow i call the Custumer an tell em that he have to recreate the qmgr. thats a simple thing and we can edit the new definitons of the saveqm file for that problem should be solved.

and then i went to konfigure my new broker v6 environment ;o)

It's a familiar tale. We've all been there, or somewhere close to there.

It's always the administrator's fault, never the management & control over the customers is something we all aspire to.

May your trout remain firm.

This is one reason not span clusters across organizational boundaries...

We're sorry you've been talked into it...

Better to isolate your edge qmgrs into a gateway cluster for your customers - to limit the spread of cluster channel issues.

all QMGRS in the Cluster are Custumers... how many clusters should i create? If we do so, i went to go in a padded cell!

Mag die Forelle stark in Deiner Hand bleiben. (Die Forelle wird hier als virtuelle Waffe benutzt um den Geschlagenen zur Kooperation zu zwingen...)
