Hi Folks,
I am not able to install IBM MQ 6.0 version on rhel 5 system.  Currently I am getting the below mentioned error message after executing the mqlicense.sh script..
Displaying license agreement on :0.0
[ Unable to allocate an initial java heap of 4194304 bytes. ]
[ **Out of memory, aborting** ]
[ ]
[ *** panic: JVMST016: Cannot allocate memory for initial java heap ]
mqlicense.sh: line 167: 4145 Aborted ${JRE?} -cp ${LAPCLASSPATH?} com.ibm.lex.lapapp.LAP -l ${PROGPATH?}/lap/licenses -s /tmp/mq_license ${STATUSARG} ${DISPLAYARG}
ERROR: Installation will not succeed unless the license
agreement can be accepted.
If the error was caused by a display problem,
read the license agreement file (LA_xx, where
xx represents your language ) in the 'licenses'
directory, and then run the following command:
mqlicense.sh -accept
I have 512 MB of Ram in my system.. System memory is not a problem as I have installed MQ for windows software.
the java verison is also 1.4.2
Do you have any idea about this and how to correct this issue?
Pls suggest as I m new to MQ world. |

Where does Windows fit into this? Do you have dual boot or a VM solution running?

Increase the virtual memory: and try out...

Which have different memory footprints. You may need more RAM.
Check the requirements for the OS & the 2 versions of WMQ.
