Hi all

How do we know on which userID and Password the broker and configmgr are running.
i had changed both the userid and password of my broker using mqsichangebroker bname -i uid -a pwd.
when i am opening the toolkit it is not responding.
i had all the admin rights to the uid i changed.
still i am not able to work with my toolkit.
what could be the problem.
working on mb5.0 in windows still...

it wont work,

you might be remembering how you created configmgr, broker and everything...and the parameters you have given there too.

So please search its been discussed in this forum..

can you tell me why it wont work ,
i had changed the broker properties again and had set the old uid and pwd ,but still it is not working.
as you said earlier to delete the .LOCK file,i did it and restarted but still facing the same problem.

You can't change -i or -u.

Better recreate the whole stuff,

you cant able to delete broker, it wont get deleted as you changed the credentials.

Can you please specify the platform that you are working on.

If it is on windows system, then there is a solution for this problem.

it's windows, and dont advise him to alter the database

let him use mqsi parameters instead

One of my colleagues faced the same problem,went with following solution:

1)Go to services--->(open broker service)---> right click on broker servie-->properties--> log on tab-->check this account radio button---> give values for user name,password,confirm password as current user name,password which have administrator privilages.

2)same procedure applied for configuraion manager.

Amazing thing is that work is done....

and broker and configuration manager are responding.
