I am trying to figure out why I would need to use a qmgr alias to get to a target queue manager instead of having a remote queue resolve to a remote queue.
I just did a test of sending a message from one queue manager on my OS/390 to an NT queue manager to another NT queue manager and back to another queue manager on OS/390. This was done using remote queues.
My understanding was that you couldn't get to a fourth qmgr this way, but it worked.
Any thoughts?
Thanks,ja _________________ Jason Adams

I'm typicly using a QMGR ALIAS when I have to send commands to a remote QMGR, e.g. PCF-commands and replies to a temporary queue.
When using static queues there are no need for using a QMGR ALIAS.
Just my $0.02 _________________ Regards, Jørgen
