Code:

CSQY000I xxxx IBM WebSphere MQ for z/OS V6
CSQY001I xxxx QUEUE MANAGER STARTING, USING PARAMETER MODULE xxxx
CSQ3111I xxxx CSQYSCMD - EARLY PROCESSING PROGRAM IS V5.3.1 LEVEL
002-009
CSQY100I xxxx SYSTEM parameters ...

And works fine
It's a Test QMgr.

Documentation pretty clearly states that the early code should be at the highest level - in this case V6. MQ V6 early code cheerfully supports 5.3 queue managers.

Luis,
Are you posting this because you find it interesting or because you are unsure of how you got to this point? If the latter, make sure to review Task 3 in z/OS System Setup guide.

It's for interesting (not for other thing) , i know that the Early Code must be ALWAYS at last Maintenance Level and it's not recommeded this situation, of course
I figured it was the QMgr fall, but my surprise was when I remain uprooted, and probe until today.
I've open a PMR to this (but i'm happy with my V6 test QMgr with V531 Early Code).
My problem was that my Early Code is at Linklist and need an IPL (the next month).
Please take this as a simple story

Regards

From the System Setup Guide:

Note: In previous versions and releases of this product, we recommended that you include the early code load modules in a library in the link list. This is no longer required, and we now recommend that you do not include early code libraries in the link list.

Put the libraries with the latest version, release, or maintenance level of the WebSphere MQ early code (which is loaded at system IPL) into the libraries used for the z/OS LPA, replacing older versions of these libraries. These libraries are specified in an LPALSTmm member of SYS1.PARMLIB.
----------------------------------------

With MLPA and Dynamic LPA, you might not need to IPL.

What does you sysprog want to do? Hand him/her the System Setup Guide.

i suppose that Transactional subsystem Tech. are NOT a System Tech. for their opinion.(They believe that we are seconds technicians)
IMS(DB-DC-Java)/DB2/Oracle/CICS/MQ/OMegamon(z/OS,IMS,CICS,Mainframe Networks) /TMon MQ/STROBE/FileAid SMP/E are easy to install.
A ServerPac z/OS 1.8 is veryyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy dificult to install

Is that what they've told you?? Mainframe skills are very different from Windows/UNIX skills. There is more to know and more to do - sorry, no setup.exe on the mainframe. For those with mainframe skills, there is an IBM hands-on, 4.5 days, course ES41A z/OS Installation using CustomPac.

But we're not talking about installing z/OS. LPA can be modified real-time. Tell your sysprog that the 'z' in z/OS stands for zero-outages - no IPLs (reboots). Some shops IPL once or twice a year now.
