I have the following situation:

Queue Manager A has a remote queue that pints to a local queue in Queue Manager B. An aplication tries to put a message in the remote queue located in QMA. However, the sender channel QMA has stopped. My question is: where do the messages that were put in the remote queue go?

The transmit queue on QMA that feeds the channel from QMA to QMB.

Will they remain in the transmit queue on QMA until the sender channel is running?

Yes. Unless they expire before then. Or unless they are non persistent messages and the QM is restarted before that channel starts running.

Why would they go anywhere else?

They'll stay there until the channel starts. Or until they expire. Or until the qmgr restarts if they're non-persistent messages.

Or until someone deletes them.
