Hi, all,
I'm collecting accounting&stats info of WMBv6 on AIX and found "TotalNumberOfMessagesWithErrors=20" in one of the records.
What is "TotalNumberOfMessagesWithErrors" ?
One interesting thing is that all messages I put were successfully processed even "TotalNumberOfMessagesWithErrors" were counted.
Thus I'd like to know what "TotalNumberOfMessagesWithErrors" were indicating.
"TotalNumberOfMQErrors=0", BTW.

Hi,
TotalNumberOfMQErrors should capture the number of errors detected by the input node that have occurred while processing messages through the message flow for the time period of the statistics record.
These could be errors in the input node, or errors downstream in the message flow but later caught in the input node.
When you say that all the messages were successfully processed even though TotalNumberOfMQErrors shows a value greater than zero , it could mean that errors were detected but handled by the input node's catch terminal and "successfully" handled down that path .
Are there any errors reported in the event log to suggest that there has been a problem in the flow .
If neither of the above suggestions match with your observations then there could be a defect which needs reporting to IBM service - along with full details of the message flow topology. |

Thank you very much for your useful information, all.
Although I'm still not sure about the reason of totalNumberOfMessagesWithErrors, I could successfully calculate the throughput of my message flows and not see any errors in my AIX box.
SupportPac IS02 would be a good tool for me in the near future, BTW.
