A tester has deleted the SYSTEM.CLUSTER.TRANSMIT.QUEUE.
Can this queue be recreated like any normal queue, are are there special steps or precautions which need to be taken first?
Yes, I realize testers shouldn't be a part of the mqm group and be given limited accessibility. However, these testers needed the freedom to do their tests....................................... _________________ MQ 6.0.2.3

That's a lot of freedom, and must be some very odd tests! _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

I guess "What happens when you destroy the qmgr while it is working?" must have been part of their tests... _________________ MQ & Broker admin |

Now this is the kind of test team I could be part of - kamakazi testing!
Or they're testing resiliance - "what happens if an administrator randomly deletes part of the system - does it automatically recover?"
I wonder if Ford's ever crash tested a car by unbolting bits of it at 70mph? _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

What do the testers care. They get the bonus for hitting the delivery date and the MQA has the stroke trying to keep things running. Then, if they miss the date, "the MQA must have deleted the SYSTEM.CLUSTER.XMIT.QUEUE". This is not as rare or as humorous as you think it is. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

What is this "testing" of which you speak... _________________ Regards

That's what happens just before the pager goes off at 2 am on a Friday night, after you've just flopped into bed to try to sleep off closing the bar. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

Jeff you're still too young for that, especially if you did close the bar. Sleep is not what would be on my mind...

FJ - I think I am older than you think I am.
Also, I stand by my choice of the word "try". _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |
