Has anyone had any success in configuring the WMQ Version 6 Explorer JMS Administered Objects when trying to connect to a WAS 5.1 JNDI server? I have tried using the Other location for the JNDI namespace with a Factory Class of com.ibm.websphere.naming.WsnInitialContextFactory and Provider URL of the WAS 5.1 server but get a java class not found for com.ibm.ejs.ras.Tr. I am trying to display the JMS objects defined for a WAS application but can't get this to work nor will JMSAdmin work natively on the server where WAS is running. Any help on how to connect to a WAS 5 JNDI would be greatly appreciated.

You likely need something like the full WAS Application Client installed on the same machine as the MQ Explorer, in order to get the full complement of classes necessary to manage the JNDI of WAS v5.1.

And, then of course, start WMQ Explorer from an App Client command prompt.

LOTS of jars are probably required.

To manage the WAS JNDI of WAS 5.x you need access to the WAS Admin Console...
You either use the Browser interface or the scripting interface...

Enjoy
