After installing CSD3 on my server, it didn't refresh WMQI manuals. I still have older versions of these manuals. For example, the version of ESQL Reference manual is SC34-5923-01.
Looks like the manuals are not bundled with CSD. _________________ Kiran

Tibor,
Do you have links to the rest of the manuals?
The IBM website still points to the old CSD02 versions. |

Only one CSD per platform is existing and this file contents fixes for all components:
- Configuration Manager
- Control Center
- Broker
- User Name Server
- and NEON
This file is a self-extracting executable on NT/2K and a package set on Unixes.
If you are working on NT/2K you can simply start CSD03 file (U200178.EXE). A CSD file is non-cumulative (IBM term) so you don't want to install any earlier patch.

Thanks for the reply, Tibor.
Will components with different CSD versions work well with one another? Eg. I have a control center with CSD3 but config mgr and broker with CSD1 or vice versa. _________________ lung |

You are right, IBM forgot to freshen Manuals website, again . I made just a little 'hacking' with file names, but only one was successful.

I forgot something, like IBM
SAP IDoc parser is a part of the new CSD, and working very well!!! If anybody is wondering, look the ID0F supportpac:
http://www-3.ibm.com/software/ts/mqseries/txppacs/ia0f.html
But supportpac contents a readme.txt file
Code: |
WebSphere MQ Integrator - IDoc parser for SAP (ia0f) is now supplied with the CSD03 level of maintenance for IBM WebSphere MQ Integrator Version 2.1 on AIX, Solaris, HP and NT |
Consequently, IDoc parsing is officially supported by now.

I've found another manual, the CSD release guide:
http://publibfp.boulder.ibm.com/epubs/pdf/bipzay00.pdf
It looks like there's only the 2 manuals for CSD03. The most significant changes I can see are:
* MRM now has full validation for both parsing and serializing. Type composition, type content, cardinality and all value constraints are now validated. Validation can be immediate (on input) or deferred (when field is first referenced). Validation for an output message set in compute node.
* Additional value constraint of pattern, allows a field to be validated against a regular expression.
* TDS new data element seperation method of pattern. Allows fields to be parsed in by regular expression.
* A number of improvements to the documentation.
* ESQL new constructs: CASE, LOOP, FOR, REPEAT, ITERATE, LEAVE. Enhancements to existing statements. Nothing really exciting.
* Control centre can now send fully domain qualified userid to config manager.
* DB2 7.2 is supported (not sure - one part of documentation say yes, another says no...)
Thats about it, nowhere near the scale of the changes in CSD02, but some very important new functionality. |

If you have a broker on Solaris, then install the CSD for Solaris on the broker server, and install the CSD for windows on the ConfigMgr PC also. If you're running the control center on a PC other than the Config Mgr PC, then you will have to install the CSD on that PC also.

I havent had too much luck with CSD3 yet..
It didn't fix Moving XML with Attributes to the Environment area correctly
Now I get errors where before I didn't
1. It complains when RETURNing NULL from a FUNCTION (where the procedure was defined to return CHARACTER - This used to be ok
CREATE FUNCTION trunc (ref REFERENCE ,len INTEGER )
RETURNS CHARACTER
BEGIN
IF (LASTMOVE(ref)) THEN
RETURN SUBSTRING(ref FROM 1 FOR len);
END IF;
RETURN NULL;
END;
(need to write RETURN ''; instead)
2. The control centre shows the MOVE statement below to have a syntax error, when it is ok.
DECLARE ref1 REFERENCE to InputRoot.XML.Root.Element1;
WHILE (LASTMOVE(ref1)) DO
MOVE ref1 NEXTSIBLING REPEAT NAME;
END WHILE;
Oh well. Guess we will hold off implementing this until we find it fixes something we needed. |

Make sure to read U200178.txt file before installting CSD3 on your box. In order to activate new options within Control Center you need to delete and re-create Configuration Manager.
Good luck! _________________ Kiran
