Hi Guys

I am a newbie to MQ and have recently managed to migrate WMQ v5.2 to v6.0 on an iSeries system.

Everything went through fine however on two queue managers we are having the following problem being reported in the amqerror logs.

A sample of the message:

"Process(xxxxxx.xxx) user (QMQM) jobname(xxxxxx/qmqm/xxxxxx)
AMQ7212: The address of the Cluster exit function could not be found.

EXPLANATION:

Cause.....: the address of the Cluster exit function '' could not be found in module '' for reason 24948 xecU_I_FUNCTION_NOT_FOUND.

Recovery.....: Correct the problem with the Cluster exit function '' in the module '' "

Previously both of these queue managers were stand alone queue managers and none of them were in or part of any cluster whatsoever. I have tried to the best of my ability in terms of trying to find the cause of the error and the message above is an exact copy of the message within the amqerror log file.

any help on this will be greatly appreciated!

Regards

Hi

I have searched the errors folder and cannot find any FDC files. I have searched both the top level system folders as well as under the respective qmrs\QM\errors folders.

Am I maybe looking in the wrong place?

Thanks

Nope, that's where to look. Well, FDCs don't get thrown in the qmgrs/errror directories that I know of. Or maybe I'm remembering badly this morning.

Open a PMR. Or double-check that someone hasn't been playing around with your qmgr definitions behind your back.

I'm also getting that after migrating from 5.3 to 6.0 on iSeries. Doesn't seam to affect system, but I looks like a bug.

Yip des not seem to affect the system but the logs are continuously being filled with these nosensical messages and it can become a pain if we have to fault find a specific issue.

I will still keep looking around to find a fix and updte if successfull.
