Okay....to set the table....I'm a newbie to RAD/Eclipse. I've been using v2.1 for the last 90 years.
I'm trying to migrate a couple of java plug-ins from v2.1 to v6. I have followed the documentation in the manuals for doing this. I think I have followed all the necessary steps but to no avail...I think some incompetency may be shining though on this task.
If you have a message flow plug-in project with the following files:
xxx.msgnode
xxx.properties
palette.properties
palette.xmi
build.properties
where xxx=node name
workspace saved, project cleaned, restarted the workbench...
should not the palette be updated with my new node and available to drag into a flow? Does the actual plug-in have to be operational before it will show up in the palette, (i.e. actually work)? That is, if some classpath or runtime parameter is setup incorrectly will this affect the exclusive membership criteria the "palette" seems to employ?
I also see no outstanding "Problems" or "Task" entries in the toolkit.
I have also tried copying the "user-defined node project" to the
../<mqsi home>/eclipse/plugins folder...and restarted the toolkit.
I have no plans to re-develop/re-build as the .jar file already exists thanks to the work done in v2.1 many moons ago. Does the .jar file have to be seen by the toolkit? 'cause I only have this in the broker's environment in it's .../jplugin folder.
