hi,
where to change the max and max active channels in Q manager propertis in mq series 5.3.
Please anybody give the suggestion.

In MQServices select the QMgr and right click select the properties then select the channel tab u will find the max channels and max active channels.

How so? My understanding is that MAXCHANNELS limits how many channels can be defined and MAXACTIVECHANNELS limits how many can be concurrently used. The only interaction between the two is that if MAXACTIVECHANNELS is not specified its value defaults to that of MAXCHANNELS. |

MAXCHANNELS is only used on z/OS. This is poorly documented, but true. I believe the only current mention of this is in the iSeries System Administration Guide.
MAXACTIVECHANNELS takes it's default value from MAXCHANNELS, but that's it. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |
